The
Artist
I
was born and raised on a farm in
South
Hill, Virginia. Drawing and painting were a childhood passion that
was rediscovered later in life.
I
received my degree in Radiology in 1963, which lead to a Certification
in Mammography and a certificate in Business.
In
1963, I moved to Orlando, Florida where I married and had a daughter.
During that time I worked for Holiday Hospial as a Radiographer.
In 1965 I was promoted to Chief Technologist followed by another
promotion to Administrative Director of Imaging Services in 1970.
In 1984 I accepted the position of Administrative Director of Imaging
Services for Columbia Park Medical Center where I remained until
my retirment in 2000.
During
my carer the State of Florida taped me as an Instructor in Continued
Education for Nursing, Imaging Services and CPR. I also taught Risk
Management and Motivational Ethics for Valencia Community College
in Orlando, Florida.
Never
losing my passion for art and creativity, I became an avid hiker
and landscape photographer.
I
once again embraced my passion for oil painting upon my retirement
in December 2000.
